“Oh that’s right! You are a Gabby Gertie aren’t you?” He scrunched up his nose and grinned at her. “I’ll just have to come up with some kind of punishment if you do…”
“Careful. Depending on the punishment, I might want to tell.” She kissed him. “You look adorable when you do that.”
“Aww, thanks my beautiful Jess.” He kissed her again. “You know… maybe I want to tell right now. Maybe I want to shout it out to Lady Liberty and everyone around…”
She faked a gasp. “You wouldn’t!” A real blush tinted her cheeks pink. “Now why would you want to do that?”
“Because I love you.” The smile on his face grew and he turned to the crowd. “Excuse me!” He raised his voice a bit more. “I’d like to say in front of all you wonderful tourists that I am in love with this girl.” At the sound of a few cheers, he pulled her into a kiss.
Her cheeks reddened but she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back passionately. “I love you too.” She said to just him.
He looked up at her somber face. “She does look like she needs a little romance in her life. Maybe we did her a favor.” He chuckled and tightened his arms around her.
She kissed him again as tourists started to get back onto the boat. “I’ll try to not accidentally tell your brother again.”

“Well I’m happy to have done so.” He kissed her with a smile before looking around. “Although I could’ve waited for a more romantic setting than a ferry…”
“I think it is perfectly fine! We’re near the water and then of course you can’t forget Lady Liberty there!” She pointed at the statue with a laugh.

“I love you, Harry Thompson.” She chuckled softly. “Who could have seen that coming?”
“And I love you, Jess Mercier.” He couldn’t stop grinning. “Not a single person we know? I mean they were all pretty sure we just messing around with each other.” He kissed her sweetly. “We showed them.”
“Yes we did.” Her grin matched his. “We proved me wrong too. I never thought I’d ever fall in love…”

“I’m your first love?” She wrapped her arms around his neck. “Can I say it again? Or is it possible to say it too much?”
“Yeah… I’ve never been the first to say it and usually said it because I had to say it. But this… things with you are different.” He pressed his forehead against hers. “I don’t think you can say it too much, only too little.”
